Welcome to the
Community Biodiversity Carbon Network (CBCN)
Letter of Interest
Dear Philanthropic, Regenerative Finance Partners,
The Community Biodiversity Carbon Network (CBCN) presents a unique opportunity to collaborate on our transformative mission to restore ecosystems, regenerate biodiversity, and better protect life on Earth. As a consortium of twelve dedicated organizations, we are committed to ensuring the high quality of our carbon and biodiversity credits which supports the integrity of the market as a whole. Carbon and biodiversity credits can contribute to sequestration, support greater numbers of species, and also drive Sustainable Development Goal initiatives, with specific focuses on 1-6, 8-11, 13, 15-17. We are seeking strategic partnerships with funders who are also deeply committed to advancing the SDGs and funding regenerative endeavors that nurture the well-being of all of our relations.
CBCN members share a foundation of shared values, goals, and actions. We work to:
- Empower indigenous people and local communities to implement and expand their sustainability strategies with a focus on protecting biodiversity and independence.
- Reforest and afforest key areas with a focus on increasing biodiversity,
- Restore ecosystems to provide critical habitats for endangered species and wildlife,
- Promote agroecology, agroforestry, and agropastoralism,
- Enhance soil health, including use of enhanced rock weathering and biochar,
- Ensure clean water access, and
- Reduce emissions from traditional cookstoves, improving human and environmental health
The voluntary carbon market is projected to reach $50 billion by 2030 and grow 100-fold by 2050. CBCN is working to secure 5-10% of this market, equating to $2.5-5 billion, with indigenous-led, indigenous owned initiatives. While we sequester carbon, reduce carbon emissions, and increase biodiversity, we educate and train local community members, empower women and young people, encourage market access through commodity and job creation, promote food security, and empower communities to be active stewards of their lands and independence as we codify their stake in the carbon and biodiversity credits produced on their lands and in their waters.
Valuing nature appropriately requires going quite beyond the value of carbon. While the biodiversity market is taking longer to mature, the Total Available Market (TAM) of biodiversity credits is likely to dwarfs that of carbon credits. Backing high quality, data-based biodiversity credits as a consortium brings integrity and capacity to this emerging, crucial market as we learn how to value all the services intact ecosystems and their stewards provide. We provide direct benefits to indigenous and local communities as we work to finance projects, manage risks, and create a clear pathway for funders who wish to uphold the highest standards of transparency, environmental protection, and social responsibility.
We look forward to discussing how your funding priorities align with our initiatives to drive systemic change. Let’s work together to ensure that investments in carbon and biodiversity credits deliver powerful ecological returns through biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration while we advance the SDGs and regenerate our living world. We seek matching funds for regenerative philanthropic funding for which we are currently applying. We would love to converse with you at your convenience, provide more details, and answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to collaborate with the Community Biodiversity Carbon Network.
Kind regards,
Community Biodiversity Carbon Network.
CBCN
In a carbon credits market fraught with integrity issues and scandals, Community Carbon Biodiversity Network stands firm in its commitment to creating a transparent, reliable, and impactful solution. We believe that carbon credits can be a powerful tool in valuing the stewards of our lands—those who dedicate themselves to projects that not only store carbon but also foster biodiversity, restore ecosystems, and improve livelihoods.
At CBCN, we partner with corporations, governments, and individuals who take social responsibility seriously and ensure that they invest in the highest-quality credits available. By engaging in sustainable projects like reforestation, agroforestry, agropastoralism, and ecosystem restoration, we deliver more than carbon offsets. We ensure clean water access, reduce emissions from traditional cookstoves, and empower indigenous and local communities to execute their own sustainability strategies.
Why CBCN?
The global carbon credits market is expected to grow exponentially, potentially reaching $50 billion by 2030 and expanding 100-fold by 2050. However, this rapid growth also demands stricter accountability and integrity. CCBN is positioning itself to claim 5-10% of the global carbon credit market, equating to $2.5-5 billion.
But for us, it’s not just about carbon sequestration. We see this growing market as an opportunity to reinvest in the health of our planet and its communities. Our projects not only help store carbon, but they also increase biodiversity, restore ecosystems, bring clean water, and support local communities in achieving their long-term sustainability goals.

CBCN Mission:
To enable local communities all over our world to take an active role in biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and freedom through sustainable ecosystem and watershed management techniques integrating ancestral techniques of the indigenous peoples, nature-based systems, science, and modern technologies.
To establish a network that encourages cooperation, information exchange, and capacity building amongst enterprises, NGOs, governments, and communities in order to support creative solutions that are advantageous to both people and the environment.
CBCN Vision:
To see a world in which local people are given the authority to actively manage and profit from the carbon and biodiversity resources that are found on their soil, resulting in social justice, environmental preservation, and sustainable development.

PRIDO
ABOUT PRIDO
PRIDO (Partners in Rural Integration and Development Organization) was established in 2010 as a community-based non-profit rural development organization that seeks to support sustainable development initiatives in Sierra Leone.
Through a group of development-oriented, like-minded indigenous community people who got together to advocate for addressing the challenges facing their communities and livelihoods, these include: environmental destruction, food insecurity, climate change effects, and lack of economic empowerment.
Since its establishment, the organization has used a community-based approach, promoting the formation of groups of community people and farmers to solve environmental issues, improve food security, foster economic development, and build resilience at both the household and community levels.
With over ten years of community service, PRIDO has grown to represent the common people of rural areas. Staying true to this spirit, the organization was named “Partners in Rural Integration and Development Organization.” It seeks to create a future of hope for marginalized women, youth, children, and their communities by helping them build the skills and resources necessary to reduce their vulnerability in a sustainable way.
